Yaletown String Quartet remains active and committed to helping our local communites and those abroad.

Here are some of our activities:

On August 24, 2011 YSQ donated a concert to raise awareness for OneMatch.ca, Canada's stem cell registry. OneMatch is part of Canadian Blood Services and is building a database of potential donors to save the lives of people with Leukemia and Lymphoma!

Yaletown String Quartet also has been involved in assisting the World Food Programme. We raised money for the relief effort in Sudan. Here's a letter from Benedetta Rosso of the WFP thanking us for our efforts

On May 15, 2006, Stephen Lewis spoke to an enthusiastic crowd at RiverRock Casino Theatre in Richmond, BC. His appearance was sponsored by the B.C. Career Colleges Association, part of the "Educating our World" conference.

Yaletown String Quartet donated a performance, part of the evening's effort to raise awareness for the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa, and to solicit donations to UNICE and thank Mr. Lewis for his tireless efforts and inspiring leadership!
